Was'nt going to renew the vBulletin licence but SMF & Phpbb didnt quite cut it for me so now I'm back with vBulletin.

Just installed 3.6 and completed the conversion fine but now its coming for design ideas which I'm stuck on, I always end up swapping and changing the theme each month as they dont stick right with me for whatever reason.

Anyhow thought I'd rack some of your brains and see if you can help me come up with anything, or even better someone designs a logo that would be perfect for us.

Bit about what I want,

Modern but simple
Light forum boards as I can't get on with the white text on dark backgrounds
760px width seems to be most popular
not overloaded with graphics that take donkeys years to load.
not major temlate changes as the layout is fine.

The site is a carp fishing forum and our site is called
Carp Addicts

Any ideas that can be thrown at me would be great as my minds blank.

I would recommened you go with pastel colours. greens, baige and soft yellow colours. Colours which can be assiociated with nature would be your best bet imo. Imagary should be consistent with your theme meaning carp images intergrated into buttons and possibly fishing tackle also intergrated into images such as forum staus Icons (possibly fish).

Keep the colours at the soft end of the spectrum and possibly stay clear from making the colours to prominant.
