Default Border Code

Hey there. I help run an unofficial site (www.chimairaworld.com) and messageboard (www.chimairaboard.com) to the band Chimaira. We work inline with the band and i would like to create a new style for the message board based on there myspace look, you can view here

www.myspace.com/chimaira

as you notice they have the border chimaira going al the way down on each side. I would like to implement this in the new myspace style, But ive no idea what code to put in and where. i need a bit of help from someone that knows what i want to achieve. i apriciate it TIA

hmm you could add code to your header and footer which then splits it up into 3 columns and 1 row. First column = left border, 2nd column = content, 3rd column = right border.

ok i'll show you a little tut on how to add borders. But you will hvae to work out how to add images as i'm only showing how to add a set colour.

ok first add to your css this little bit of html
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
oh and change "width: 820px;" to the width you want your forums to be.

now in the header template find:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
add below
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
now go into the footer template and add </div> at the very end

if you already have some template edits done then it's possible it won't work. i done these edits on 3.5.4 so if your running 3.6.4 then i can't say if it works or not.
