Default vbulletin and IE 7.0 (beta)

I just started using IE 7 ..and I really like it!

However, has anyone else noticed how the edit boxes with vbulletin (and many other php based bulletin boards) is funky with this browser? For example, if you type some text and use the backspace key ..it doesn't delete the characters as you backspace properly. Also...there are some funky formatting things that I've seen with some boards as well.

Just thought I'd ask if there was a mod somewhere that might rectify some of these issues.

Until IE 7 has been released to the general public I don't think there will be any vB changes. Plus most people have stopped using IE, especially since microsoft lost their plugin lawsuit, and now IE doesn't render Flash properly.

Weird... I just tested your claim, and it deletes the characters (and moves the text thinger back) but the text is still there.

Hmm...it definately happens for me.

And, for the record, I've been using Firefox for a while because IE 6 *DID* suck ....however, IE 7 is by far the best browser available in my opinion.

Most of the people that bash it haven't tried it for more than a couple minutes. Use it for a week, and it's hard to go back to slow poke/ugly firefox.

No, IE 7 is a great product, and worth taking seriously.

What plugin lawsuit? Fill me in. I've been using Opera for a few years now, so I know nothing

Microsoft was a very naughty boy and was caught using code that another company developed. This code allowed plugins like javascript, Flash, etc. to be displayed on a web page. I'll find you a link to the full article later today Psionic Vision, but basically that's what happened. Microsoft was caught with their hands in the coding 'cookie' jar ;)

Haha, owned.

On topic though: I used IE 7 for about 2 weeks and decided Opera is still superior.

View the related articles for the recent follow-ups. I've stopped using Internet Explorer since this happened, the "Click to Activate ActiveX Control" box bugs the hell out of me.. :p
