It's due to the whole "spirit of the license agreement" which is total bs. Hopefully people will post their hacks here knowing full well that the spirit of an LA means very little to the WRITTEN AGREEMENT

And remember people - they cannot just "change" a license agreement without you signing it again. No matter WHAT they put in their LA.

Very true, it also states that you may alter the code (at your own risk)

Speaking of the "Spirit of things", the replies in your thread unfortunatly reflect the spirit over there. Things are ripe IMHO for this site to thrive.

In my own opinion - most of the replies are from vbulletin.org "lackies". That want to kissup to the staff. You haven't seen any person that has wanted a vbhacks site post negatively (or post at all considering most have left vbulletin.org)
