I just transferred my forum from a shared server to a VPS server (bluehost just decided i was using to many resources and shut me down).

Everything is working fine but the VBshout 2.1

the old shoutbox shows up but no new posts show up or even edited posts. when you click the link on "shoutbox" link it takes you to the shouts and the new and deleted shoults are correct just not on the home page.

any ideas?

Make sure you sb folder and files under it are CHMODded correctly.

chmod thes to 777 via ftp or your admin panel(if possible)
folder: sb
file inside: vbshout.html

make sure you have vbshout.php on form root^^

i did that on mine but it still doesnt work

Uninstall / reinstall might do the trick. Be sure all files are files are uploaded & chmodded correctly as well.

same here mine just stopped working and wont do anything. Have rest all feilds..guess i will have to reinstall...

Mine got stuck on loading and wouldn't do anything else. The instructions for this mod were absoluetly appalling and unhelpful, and there was no help getting the problems sorted out. Several people have trouble getting past the 'loading' stage, its not just me.
