if your using 3.6.4, then just use the patch file and upgrade to 3.6.5

3.6.5 has no template changes so just do the full upgrade and you should be fine. I have plenty of hacks running and not one seems to have been affected by the change to 3.6.5.

The upgrade it easy, but I would advise that you take inventory of your installed hacks. Before you upgrade review the hacks homepage and check for recent posts on compatibility issues.

We had four hacks die after the upgrade. There have since been hack updates that corrected our issues. A good set of DB & File backups with a little planning and you should be good to go.
