Number of Guests > 200?

I have opened a new board (11 days ago) And this is what it currently says: Currently Active Users: 283 (24 members and 259 guests). I have nothing wrong with the members as they are very active but 259 guests in 11 days seems wrong. If you look in online.php all the ip's check out. Weird. Has this happened to you?

lol.. maybe its your guest_1 hack ? are the ip's bots ?

Nope, all showing as users and the hack is disabled. time out cookie is 900. Not really that long. PS. the mod i made can't effect the number of guests purely because there is no code to do that.

im just saying, maybe when you where making the hack it left something behind ?
maybe you have the time session for to long ? if you have it for several mins, then it would look busier then it is.. i can find the setting if you don't understand what im talking about
or someone is ddosing ya ?
who knows, btw, still no seo ?

i think I'm right, cuz I've looked at your site 3 times today, and its almost the exact same users online each time, and little new post :?

I'd double check those cookie settings if I was you.

Also, check scheduled tasks and make sure Hourly Cleanup #1 is running. I've just looked at Butcher's profile and it says Last Activity: Yesterday 07:53 PM, then looked at the time now which says The time now is 07:44 AM.
Zero Tolerance's last activity is 24 hours and 5 mins ago... sounds like their sessions aren't being deleted.

looks like you figured it out,, but.. I look at the profiles and some last activity are 5 hours ago, maybe there just hanging out without posting ?

Last activity means literally last pageload. The hourly cleanup removes all session entries older than the cookie timeout. i.e. anyone who hasn't done anything for the length of the cookie timeout gets removed once an hour
With a timeout of 15 mins that means no one can be in the session table (which is what who's online reads) 75 mins after going idle, which means the hourly cleanup either isn't running, or there's an error with it. Since you ran it manually and it worked I can only guess it's not running, or if it is then it's not liking the cron method.
