How do you know if a vB license is pirated..

Default How do you know if a vB license is pirated..

Is there any real way to tell? Or do you just email jelsoft to take a look?

I believe Jelsoft has an email for this to check. Not entirely sure though.

You can do this in 90% of the times by checking the header of the code files. Since php will get parsed you can't check it there. But the javascript in the clientscript directry won't.
So look at this:
http://www.vbhackers.com/clientscrip...etin_global.js

If it would be pirated / removed copyright no serial etc. You'll see it there. (Note people can get the pirated message remove there) But in 80/90% of the times this will succeed.

If you look at the html code for any page on thier site, you may see ripped by, hacked by, ect.

What usually tips me off is that they dont have the copyright in place and the forum looks to cheesy to be one to want to slurge on the extra money that costs.
