Why does everyone call it AJAX, it's the XMLHttpRequest Object, it's rather selfish to call something some other name that been around for almost 7 + years. It's same thing as copying other peoples work, and then say you made. I take offence to the dumb AJAX name as I was one of the original developers that worked on the XMLHttpRequest Object Prototype!

Ajax is shorthand for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. The first use of the term in public was by Jesse James Garrett in February 2005. The cat's already out of the bag. Either go with the flow, or get an ulcer ;)
