Can you make this into a link?

Heya guys,

Wondering if this is possible, figured you guys would be the best ones to ask

On one of the forums I frequent I often forget what threads I've made posts in and as the "View unread posts" option returns threads changed by anyone its too broad and subscribing to each individual thread I post in would be a schlepp as well. So what I do is do an advanced search for all posts made by me in the past day/week.

Now what I'd like to know is: How could I create a url that will replicate this action? The url of the result is the search number (from what I've gathered with my somewhat limited knowledge on the workings of forums) and once its expired it doesn't work.

I'd like to make a url that I can bookmark thus when I click on it, it returns all the threads I've made posts on in the last day.

Why don't you subscribe to the threads you have participated in? That way you get a pm/mail whenever someone replies in it.

If you really want a link or something create an HTML document that has a redirect in it:

nameofsite.extension/search.php?do=finduser&u= your user id , you can find that by going into your profile then look in the address bar, u= then a number, the number is your user id.

so your html document would look something like:

<HTML>
<TITLE>My Forum Search</TITLE>
<HEAD> <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=website address here"></HEAD>
<CENTER><H1>Redirecting.....</H1></CENTER>
</HTML>

put that in a text document and save as redirect.html
you could put it on your desktop, and when you click on it, it will open your browser and redirect to that address.

I think what he means is the search expires so your code would be useless.

I just took the link from the userprofile where it says find all posts from this user. Although it won't be specific to threads that have been replied by other users, it'll get him he's recent posts, which then you can view the amount of replies.

I don't think you as a member can do this. I think it has to be added to the forum by the admin :confused:

I'll take a second look into it this weekend though
