I try to make it a practice not to delete accounts because if you do that then their posts will be deleted.. If they want it that bad just move them to banned usergroup.

Well, I used to make a "Account Disabled By Request" usergroup, which was basicly a "banned" usergroup. If the user wanted to reenable it, he could simply fill in a form and it would automaticly reenable his account.

Well, I made it for private use for vB 3.0.x really. I'll dig it up, clean it up and release it here if you want me to ;).
