Default Improving your navbar
Quite frankly I have not seen much talk about this and it really seems like an important area to me. The navbar on your site is probably the most used and seen tidbit above the fold for guests. And their is usually links to things that guests really don't need to be able to see.

Why not have just 1 or 2 links in your navbar? Let's say the register link and possibly the FAQ link, those should really be the only available info you want to show the guests anyway and it could really steer them more into registering since there are less options.

I don't have any stats to back this up, but I really honestly think it could and will work for you.

Agreed on this. Maybe a search link aswell if you have it enabled for guests.
