This might seem like a very easy task to some people but to others and people just starting out the "where do I start" question always comes up. So I figured I would write a little [How to] on "Submitting a press release"
First of all I would like to say submitting press release are a fun, easy, and inexpensive way to get your name out there. Not to mention you might aquire some back links.
So here goes:
1. Think of a story or a topic and try to keep it relevant to what your site is about. Think of informational peices that may help people or list tactics to combat a problem. Or a topic that many people don't know about. You want something interesting even debatable
2. Find a writer. You can go to
forums.digitalpoint.com and look for
PR writers in their services marketplace. You will find some from $25 to $100 per release. My advice would be to find someone who you like. Try a few out.
3. Give the writer all the info you have gathered from #1
4. Get an account at
www.prweb.com and follow the steps to submit a release. I would suggest the $80 option as the bare minimum.
5. Choose release dates of Monday Tuesday Wednesday.
And your done.
