How do I grow my forum

It seems like no one is answering anyones question on this so please answer mine. I ask a whole bunch of people to join but they all say they will and they never do. I put my site in all the search engines and that doesn't help. I only have about 8 members and its been a couple weeks. My forum is ItzLegit - Powered by vBulletin . I don't wanna do contests because how is a contest gonna grow a forum with only 8 members. If any of you have an idea on how to help my forum please tell me because I'm thoughtless. I am willing to do posts for posts thing but I don't no who will do that.

Give them a reason to join ;)
I only see a handful of post, and most the forums are empty.

Add more content.

Content is king. Write loads of content and give your site good anchor key words that will rank high in google.

You NEED to put a lot of effort into your forum if your friends arent posting otherwise you will go nowhere.
