That couldn't be further from the truth. I have said some very harsh words about Zoints and David Chapman in recent weeks on a number of forums, but that didn't keep David from helping me with a hack over a period of several days.

I don't think there have been many negative comments about Zoints SEO at the vBSEO forum. David is a member there too and he supports the efforts of that product and has said himself that vBSEO is a better product. His product is not only free though, it's open source. Anyone and everyone is invited to help make it a better product. In essence, it is what you make it, if you so choose. It won't be handed to you on a silver platter.

My earlier comment in this thread (or in one similar) was that you sometimes get what you pay for. That can also mean that sometimes you get far more. I don't know anything about Zoints SEO, but my personal feelings about Mr. Chapman and Zoints is that they have been misjudged by me. I believe David has a lot to offer the webmaster communities. Some of it will be with no strings attached, some with a profit motive. That is no different than any one of us.

It's nice to see as many SEO options as possible, whether they are free or paid. It's way too early to tell anything valuable about the zoints hack. Because of the nature of SEO it takes time for bugs/problems to surface. I would use their support system as a guide to see if it's worth using now. Personally I like Dani's hack the best, but that can change in a New York minute as soon as more is learned about this hack and/or when the trial version of vbseo comes out. If anyone has tried any of these hacks please let us know what your feelings are about them. We can all prosper if we share together
