it is a plugin for vB. if the rest of your site is custom coded, you will need to make its own SEO tool.

There are however plugins for the vBadvaced cPMS and other add-ons for vB. but if its custom, you're probably on your own-- but the support staff is very good at helping with custom apps.

I don't blog myself but have seen trackback links on blogs... please can you explain what these trackback links and pings are and what benefit they bring to discussion forums.

I really dont care if I was to only have 1,000 pages indexed. What vbseo has done for me is get my individual threads ranked higher for tons of diffrent terms, and I am getting loads of traffic as a result, even on new forums.

Maybe that is because you haven't used it

Here is a small forum I started, less than a year old. Installed vBseo sometime in May. Traffic from all the search engines show the same trend as this graph. I just wanted to show google because that is the one I watch the most.

I've been watching this plugin for some time. I think it looks great...Its obviously very professionally made and maintained.

However, the price tag is majorly overzealous.

I can appreciate its a valuable tool, more so to perhaps Commercial enterprises...But charging $150 (more than a license for vBulletin itself) is just illogical really...Very much so...And having that charge in place for every type of user (non-commercial sites etc etc) makes it more even more undesirable.

Thats my 2 pence on it anyway...I'm not knocking the plugin, I'm just saying its too overpriced.

T.
