I quit using it the same time you guys did, and for the same reasons. Gave it another go around though and the latest versions seem to be working very well. I was impressed enought to buy a total of three licenses to cover all my vbulletin forums.

Some dont like it because it is encrypted. For me, I could care less. Even if it wasnt encrypted, I still would have no clue what I was looking at.

The blog type integration is proving its worth alone so far. blog spiders like the one yahoo bought and techorati are scanning my site just like the search engines now and bringing me a nice addition of traffic. Works just like a blog in that you can include the ping services in the control panel and all threads and posts ping these locations.

I would buy it if it was $50 instead of $150...

The 'new' ping idea works great idd. I'm using it in my own custom codes and it upgrades the SE traffic with 1000% :classic:

I just dont seem to understand why yahoo & msn are harrassing my forums so much but google doesnt seem to be anywhere in sight. My friends forum (which is fairly new) has been having googlebot harass it non-stop and no other engine.

so vBSEO makes the engine index your forum. hmm, so hat is what they did. I have over 3K post on my forum but if you type Huligar in yahoo are any other engine i would show up on other stone forums. This is not cool seen that i have made a name for myself and when people search the net they find place that i would not send my enemies.

I have gone on about this ad nauseum.

I have seen no evidence that it helps in regard to SEO. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero evidence.

It doesnt hurt as far as I can tell either.

The software does other things, but its main function is to do a mod rewrite of the URLS.

It was once true that forums had trouble being spidered due to the variables in the urls. But that was 4 years+ ago. vBulletin is spidered and indexed just fine today. The best evidence of that is to look at vBulletin itself. (site:www.vbulletin.com) 3.6 million pages indexed. I could list a dozen other sites without much effort.

So, if you like the look of the rewritten urls, great. Have at it. But in my opinion, there is little or no SEO benefit to vBSEO. I have seen no evidence supporting the claim that it gets your site spidered easier, or changes your rankings.

For what it's worth, I was offered a free copy, and declined.

it works. I have over a million SERP's now in google.

if you can't get it to work, its probably your template and other lacking on-page SEO.

i took these screen shots a couple days ago... i think they speak for more than them seleves. Took me about a month to get re-indexed... and then it blew up.

Question

Ouestion: will it work with a forum in vB and a main site in php? What I mean is, will it only work with the forum?
