Not really you just make a little bit of money off the ads if they are clicked and if someone ads adsense to thier site because of clicking on it on your site. You don't get any money until you have made at least $100 and in my case has taken me months to get to $40

^agrees, it doesn't move your ranking. Of course if you get the money from adsense aand pour it into adwords. Then you have money

In the past / maybe still know, search engines ranked you better if you have a link to them on your site. This was really working in the past! And also gigablast (not so known) still uses this.

Nope never ranked me #1. What ranked me #1 was making sure that I had the content there with the key words in the page and then adding myself to as many free search engines as I could find.

xD, use * rogersnm searches around IBP. Not IPB, IBP: Internet Business Promoter Submits to search engines..

Google adsense in forums Hmm... I'm using it in my forums. But forums are known for poor Click Through Rates (< 1%) when other sites getting 5-10%. But if you've huge member base & trafic it can pay your hosting bills and get you some beer.

Also it'll not help you to get any indexes in Google. But better tan i won't as there is some conversaion between Googlebot & Google Adsense Bot.
