Specially for small forum owners, how many of you are guilty of artificially sparking new topics and new pseudo usernames just to get your forum growing?

I would think everyone does this, ihave a small forum at the moment that with 18 members, 9 of them me!!!Im so interesting i have to reply to myself lol....

I have to say I've never done this. I know many forum owners do but I find it to be too embarrassing to do just incase someone did ever find out i was replying to myself to improve forum growth/activity.

I do suffer from an acute form of demencia so I would forget any secondary account I create. :alien:

I've never done it either. Mind you that may have to do with the fact that I talk to my self for 90% of my life anyway :p

u dont register members, but u use fake community statistics ;)

All hack designers have to have at least one fake member so that they can test their hacks under the 'member' usergroup ;)

It's not artificial anything, it actually servers a very functional purpose

Yup, I have one of those.

I knew I wasn't the only one to admit to this!

I have 2, my main account and then a news account that I'll use to post news with and test usergroup settings when needed..

I don't use several names like joe, jim, bob and post them all as other users to try and spark conversions.
I've seen several sites do this and it doesn't seems like it ever works out.

I have seen success with getting X post and X threads from those who Will actually be different ppl and you pay them so much to post.

All my stats are legit and active users are the vb default setting.
