I think this is something that is overlooked by many. There are many sites in thousands of niches that send out emails everyweek or everymonth to many thousands of people.

I have one newsletter that goes out to 90k pharmacists twice a month that I do for $1,000 a month and another newsletter that goes out to 80k cruisers that I do for $400 a month.

This is a fantastic way to meet a targetted niche.
