I haven't touched it, I copied all the files from my local and added them all into the htdocs folder and left em. So I have to go into the config.php file huh? hm..

You'll have to reconfigure it. Simply open up a default config.php and set the database (localhost), username (root) and password (password).

i edited everything and when i try to install this is what happens

i get this

whit xamp - i've got problem......


Database error
The database has encountered a problem.
Please try the following:

* Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
* Open the localhost home page, then try to open another page.
* Click the Back button to try another link.

The localhost forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

If you right click on the page and click view source you'll be able to see what the actual error is, post it here. It's not use just saying you have a db error...
