vB 3.6.0 Compatible!
Template Modification
Over the past few years I've seen a countless amount of people asking how to make a drop down menu just like QuickLinks. This mod will show you how to add your own customized drop down menu(s) to your vB navbar. Each drop down menu can have as many items as you need. These are essentially very easy to make IF you take your time and double check your work. Now you can have site specific customized drop down menus on your navbar. Tested and completely compatible with vB 3.6. Enjoy!

Hmm. I clicked on the install, and it was an error. :\

Thanks anyway.

How can such a small hack take 20 minutes? Anyways, ive tried this soon after youve released it and it didnt work. Ive tried on three diffrent version boards. I can really tell youve put some time into this though, so I do want to at least say nice job

This hack has been tested and verified to work on both 3.5.4 and 3.6.0. Over 50 people has successfully used it, BUT as it mentions in the directions, if you don't take your time and follow the directions precisely, then obviously like anything else it won't work

I use Element theme, modified where navbar content is in header.

I cannot find this:

<!-- / user cp tools menu -->

My header template:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Where should it go?

My two phrases are drop_down_menu (in place of XYZ_ID_menu) and menu_item (in place of Menu_Item)

You may not be able to use this. There appears to be a whole swatch of important code missing from that template. I'll try to take a closer look at it this weekend when I (hopefully) have some free time.
