New Posting Features - Thread Starter Recognition

This hack signifies who the original thread starter is throughout an entire thread. It's a great feature for multi-page and extra long threads. This modification will work for either postbit style, and comes in a choice of four image colors (black, white, red and blue) to match any postbit background!

It's a great way to encourage members to start new threads because only they will receive the 'Thread Starter' image in their postbit. See screenshot below for more information. This modification has been fully tested and works in both 3.5.x and 3.6.x versions of vB. Enjoy

Well you had to have done something to get a standard vB conditional not to work correctly.

This hack is built around the following vB conditional:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

In other words, if the person 'posting' = 'the person who stared the thread' then the condition is met and the image is posted.

Yeah I do understand what you're saying. So I don't know. Like I said it's there on the original post, just not the subsequent posts by the author in the same thread.

hmm, it could be a different mod you installed and you have it inside a conditional which is only showing up for the forst post and some forum id's.

Reading back through this thread, I see that at least one other person has had this problem, only on his board the image did show up intermittently. On mine it shows up NOWHERE but on the original post. Well everyone already knows who the thread author is there, lol.

Also, fyi, I have only 5 or 6 hacks installed.

Hmmm well iv just installed it on www.fish-keeping.com and iam now getting it in the first post only aswell

on fish-keeping iam running vBulletin Version 3.5.4 and on world-of-digital iam running vBulletin Version 3.6.0
could this have anythink to do with it ??

According to the guys over at vB the code is supposed to be both 3.5.x and 3.6.x friendly.
