[vB 3.6.4] Forum Display Enhancements - Jazz up the vbulletin copyright in Footer (136)

vB 3.6.0 Compatible!
Template Modification
This template edit replaces the default copyright text in the footer with a little flash file.
The flash file is clickable linked to vbulletin.com. Also full copyright message shows up when rolled over with mouse. See site demo.

Installation For Light backgrounds( for dark see below):

Download the vbversion.zip
Extract it.

Upload the vbversion.swf to /images/buttons/ on your server.

Login into your Admin Panel.

Go to Styles and Templates > Style Manager > (Choose the appropriate theme) Select Edit Templates from the drop down list.

Find the template:
Footer >>

FIND:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
REPLACE WITH
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
SAVE TEMPLATE.

Note this is for light backgrounds only as the text is black and vb version 3.6.4

Installation For Dark backgrounds:

Download the vbversiondark.zip
Extract it.

Upload the vbversiondark.swf to /images/buttons/ on your server.

Note this is for dark backgrounds only as the text is White and vb version 3.6.4

Some flash files can have hidden content, i guarantee this file is free from any hidden content like spyware etc..Only use the included swf file in the zip file do not hotlink swf files from other domains..

New files added for 3.6.8
Also added flash source file for editing yourselfs.

A screenshot is below of how it looks with the IE bug. I'll work up a javascript add-on to get around this either tomorrow or later this weekend as time permits

Ok thanks for that, what is the reason for the flash bug again? Something to do with a legal ruling or something i cant remember.

I assume vBulletin has no objection to their copyright being embellished in this fashion?

I asked vbulletin.com about this before i did it. As long as the copyright is there it can be an image, text,swf anything as long as its there..

Even if they didn't like it - it still legally wouldn't matter. As long as the copyright is being displayed to the public it has met its criteria. If anything they should be happy about the embellishment because it makes more people look at that area and hence more attention is drawn to them.
