[vB 3.5.4] Forum Display Enhancements - Gender Mod for v 3.5.4 (160)

New Files: 2 New Phrases: 0 Installation Time (In Minutes): 2

Template Modification
This hack shows user's gender in postbit, below the user name.



1. Go to AdminCP => Profile Fields => Add new Profile field => Single Selection Menu >

Title > Gender

Description > Specify ur gender

Options:
Male
Female

Set Default: Yes, Include a First Blank Option

Editable By User: Yes

Display Page: Edit Profile

Write down your field# . i.e field5

2. Open postbit(_legacy) template,

FIND:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

ADD BELOW:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Change X to the field id.


3. Upload /gender to images/gender to your forum dir. (found in attached zip file)



All done...:p

I would rather play some more with the number of the custom user profile fields as I think you install a country/flag hack that allready too number 5, try 6 or higher instead ;)

It appears to work except i cannot get the image to display when a user posts it just appears like this gender:

You have used selection boxes instead of Single Selection Menu
So intead of looking for male.gif or female.gif it is looking for 1.gif and 2.gif, Easy option is to rename male.gif to 1.gif and female.gif to 2.gif in the image/gender folder.
