Hack Version: 1.1 Installer Included: 0 Additional queries added to database: 0
New Templates: 2 Template Edits: 1 File Edits: 0
New Files: 0 New Phrases: 0 Installation Time (In Minutes): 5

This hack replaces "/you" in posts with the usersname who is viewing the post.

Example: if you type:
"why is /you looking at me"

That Turns to:
Why is username looking at me

Open includes/functions_bbcodeparse.php:

Find:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
UNDERNEATH, ADD:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Replace: #XXXXXX with the color you want it to show up as.
All done. ;)

ok i have installed this hack i am running vb3.0.1 and i am having the exact problem dotslasher has stated when anyone view the thread they see my username and not theres,did i do something wrong?

Great little hack! I love it!

However, I removed the spaces after "/you " --> "/you" and the </font> " --> </font>" and now it fits in better. Also, should only be a single space after global $post;.

SO...

how can you get this hack working in the thread title?

i.e. when a user creats a new thread and wants to use the /you hack in the title to grab
the attension of evey user that see the thread title!

You would need to parse bbcodes in the thread titles.
This requires quite a few modifications, but its a good suggestion.
