vBMA Hack v1.2.1

vBMA 1.2.1 Released!!

I am proud to release the second version of the vBMA Hack.
The vBMA Hack is a Members' Area system, with integrated a Support Ticket (Help Desk) system.
The Support Ticket System integrated with this hack is superior to any other non-commercial ticket system!
Here's a list of features:
  • -On/Off Master switch
  • -Build in Support Ticket System
    • Product Selection
    • Permitions - Usergroup Permitions
    • The ticket poster may choose whether their ticket is public (readable by everyone) or private (staff only)!
    • Different 'types' of tickets, definable in the ACP! (e.g. ticket about a Bug, ticket about an ACP error, etc...)
  • -Fully Phrased
  • -A build in Confixx Log In System
    • -A build in Confixx Log In Box
    • -A build in Confixx Webmail Log In Box
    • -A build in Confixx WebFTP Log In Box
    • CP Username is configurable in the ACP.
    • Admin can select the server which the data is sent to.
    • Data is directly "injected" into the confixx login, so in other words, it opens in a new window, logged in.
  • -Many more little nifty features
  • -vBulletin License Validation. Check if your members have a vB license!
(For a complete list of features, go here!)

IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE ZIP BEFORE 4-4-2005, PLEASE REDOWNLOAD, AND RUN THE INSTALLER AGAIN!

Introduction
The vBMA Hack was coded for private use at first.
I coded it for a friend of mine, whom owns a Webhosting company.
However, I was starting to like the hack, so I started to expand it, make it more configurable, and I'm eventually releasing it now.

Some info
As said above, the confixx login boxes do the following;
  • "Inject" the data right into the actual login box, so a new window opens, and as by magic, you're logged in to confixx!
  • Login username is definable in the ACP, in user.php (to avoid abuse)
  • Server to log in to can be defined in the ACP
There is so much more to list, but you'll find out when you see a demo .

Installing only requires a couple of simple steps.
  • 10 - table additions
  • 202- Phrases Added
  • 3 - file additions
  • 6 - vbulletin file edits
    • admincp/index.php
    • admincp/usergroup.php
    • includes/adminfunctions_template.php
    • includes/init.php
    • includes/functions_online.php
    • includes/functions_misc.php
    • global.php
  • 12 - template additions

Average Install Time: 15 minutes

Instructions on how to use the License Verification System will be comming soon.

If your version number doesn't show up correctly (lower than the version which the zip says), please re-run the install script, and it will update your version
Screenshots can be found in attachment.
Online demo will be comming soon.
Support is givin in this thread, however, support queried at vBadditions.com has a higher priority!

If you use this hack, please click install!

Version 1.0.0 is no longer supported in this thread, only at vBadditions.com!

looks like a great system, i was looking at the one over at http://www.vbadvanced.com/ i asked over there and another site that uses it where they got it from and i was told to go jump! nice... i think this system will be ultra popular, very good for me selling my vb-skinwares over at my site, i'm currently a beta tester for another licencing system named 'iono' very good, very professional, but what you have here is a sure fire winner also, i'll install it and have a good play and post back with some suggestions if i may, thanx again

I'm delighted to hear you like my hack!

If you have any suggestions, please let me know

(PS we are currently working on a license management system to integrate with this hack, together with a portfolio hack)

Hey Deaths,

Did you ever look into the integration with cpanel instead on confixx. It IS a form based login for it and would be cool to have the option.

Thanks for the great hack once again.

Yes, I have looked at it, and it's also coded.

Version 1.0.1 will be released as soon as we open vBadditions.com.
There is no planned date yet, but it won't be long.

Deaths,

I have successfully installed your hack on an intranet site, with just a titch of problems:

1. I had to modify the code in a few files to allow for prefixed tables in the database. I can send you what I have from work tommorrow. It was minor and a relatively quick fix.

2. It appears that using the display options for tickets is broken. I try to select any type of filter, and it simply displays all of the open tickets regardless of my selection. Hav e you encountered this problem?

Thanks for any help you can provide in advance!

Any bug fixes are welcome!
If you have time to send me the fixes, I would appreciate it very much.

I will also take a look at the filter problem, and I will let you know.

I have looked at the filter problem, and it's not a problem with the filter, but it's a problem with the new support ticket posting.

When you post a new ticket, it's supposed to set it's status to "Unconfirmed" (or your default one). However, it does not do this.

Try editing the support ticket, and set a different status, that should do.
