Installed on 3.07 .. works like a charm ....

After the debug-instructions:

In the left colum is vBulletin Options ...
If you click on it you get 2 options:
*) vBulletin Options <<< click this option
*) Admin Help Manager

After clicking the 1st option you get in the right screen the options you've seen many times. But this time it has in the left part of it some extra functions.
Under Developer Options you'll see Add New Setting Group :p

So here you go, after this simply follow the instructions ....

Cheers !!!!

in the portal/index.php then add $newsbit where you want it to show. Something along those lines, if you do figure it out, let me know where you add the above php code and i'll add it to the first post as an addon.
I want to add this to my cmps 2.0 RC portal. can you tell me in a little more detail were to add the code please.

I want the scrolling text to appear above to login box right at the top. Also is there anyway to make the scroll box a collapasible box.

Nice hack by the way!

Use this new code for the forumhome_newbit template if you want your scrolling bar to be collasible like the rest on your forum home page: This will allow your members to close the scroll bar hiding the text after they has read the message to make space it if they wish.

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
--------------------------------

However, I have spotted something which happens due to the scrolling text, which must be linked to the javascript. It's not a template code problem.

I use both IE and Firefox here to test things using both browsers for cross compatibilty.

While the Scroll box minamizes OK using IE if you reduce the size of your browser. When using Firefox the scroll refuses to reduce in width size when you make your browser window smaller and stays full width instead of it coming inline with the rest like it does in IE browser.

Anybody any ideas how to fix this. I think it may need some new javascript code which allows this to work.

if you want to collapse blok and fix it collapsed -> right code:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
if you don't do this - after F5 (refresh) your blok is open
(i hope, everyone understand, what i mean =))
