Miscellaneous Hacks - Links for Registered Users Only

Very simple hack, as requested here.

What does it do?
All links can only be viewed by registered members.

Time to install: 5 minutes, if not less
Files to edit: 1

Open up includes/functions_bbcodeparse.php, and find:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

Replace with:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

Thats it

.

NOTE:
If you are using Floris' standard URL hyperlink opening in same window, the first step is:

Find

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

If you are using Postcache, you might need to rebuild it.

Hi first say thanks and what a great work you make
I did everything you say here and still guests can see content using [code]
And beside that is anyway i can give a definied number of post for users can see the content of the posts???

Use this for the posts thingy:

change

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

to

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

Change XX to the number of posts.

Deaths you should make it an attach file so members click the install button to get the hack, as i don't have the code blocked for uninstallers yet. Just a suggestion, don't like seeing good hacks with low installs. :wink:

I agree whit LiveWire.
This is a really great mod even if i can get it work, i use 3.0.7 and make everything you say but i don't know how rebuild a postcahe please tell me how can i do that ?? if i do it i lose all the posts???
And what about if i want to one post have 10 post for example and others have 15 post to see the content ?? can i do that or only a number for all the posts??

Is their a way to do the same for inserted images not attached I already have it turned off I am talking about when you click the image icon and then enter the link for the image now is their a way do hack it so they can't see the image and they see the same message as in this hack.

I believe the rebuild postcache is either under the Import & Maintenance tab, or your vboptions.

Above is an image I attached by using the insert image icon

I want these images not to show up for unregistered guests.
