Why bother with mysqltcl when it can be done withought.
Why allow users to accidentlly paste there invite info in the wrong window when it can be done withought.
mysqltcl only of use if your host allows outside conections to the mysql server personally I would steer clear of that sort of connection myself and my hosts do allow it.

Well you didn't read well... Read again I would say. On an eggdrop it isn't a problem but for windrop it is...

@ShavedApe

You can put a line in your perform list ;) You don't have to browse to the website first.. What if the website is down... And yes I can access mysql directly and you can permit access by IP so...

Dunno m8 but mysqltcl has nothing to do with mysql.com. Dont run it in windows myself but for win32 you may need to get either a full mysql install inc shared libs or a seperate shared libs install, so external applications can hit mysql.

mysqltcl packages are from http://www.xdobry.de/mysqltcl/windows.html tho not mysql.com. this page has fairly small but understandable instructions on the win version
You may find further help on the mysqltcl in windows in ioftpd website/forum. Some users there most likely, in fact bound to use it. ;)

can someone still release a final version of this hack? It seems that I can't figure out what the good script exactly is

mysqltcl requires the bot to physically have axx to the mysql database and doesnt always work and can be a pain in the arse to set up too I should add.

Its hardly the most secure option either is it, only takes one idiot to accidently paste there invite line to a chan by mistake and trust me google wont help you :p
Just because you add to your perform doesnt mean everyone else will.

thanx for this hack works ok
but like this u can only invite in a # that dont have a key or no invite only

is there anyway to add the bot the key of the # so when invite someone also give the pass to enter the #
?
cause like that u must left your channel open and this is not good....

i try edit postings.php to: IRC_send("#channel key",$talk); but dint work
i try edit also the tcl but still....

im wondering is there any way to add @least the key?

thnx

fputs($fp, ".invite $nickname $channel $pass".$in."\n");
".$in." -> where does this come from?
just do
fputs($fp, ".invite $nickname $channel\n");
