Hack: Force Site Rules`
Version: 1.0.0
====================

What this does
This will force your members to read the site rules. When they try to go in the UserCp they will be directed to the Site Rules. (which you make) and have to agree to them in order to use the usercp.. Once they agree to the sites forum rules, they will be directed back to the user cp and not be forced to see that page again.

If you want this to force members on a difrrent page, please request it here and i will release how to do it on another page, by default this works only in the usercp.php page.

Special Thanks to Dark_wizard for cleaning the code up!

To do list...
  • Time to install: 10 minutes
  • Queries to run: 1
  • New Files: 1
    • /forum/rules.php
  • File Mods: 1
    • /forum/usercp.php
  • Templates to add: 1
  • New Phrases: 1

Please read carefully and make all the nessisary changes as stated. This is will work if installed properly. I've tested this hack on a clean vbulletin install version 3.0.3. I did test on my localhost so its possible to have a bug.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BACKUP BEFORE YOU BEGIN! If you like this hack, please be kind and click on the "Install" button.

I have a little extension for this hack, when you make new rules you can set your DB back, with the SQL-Query funktion.

open forum/admincp/queries.php and find:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
under it add:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
find:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
under it add:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Save

ADD new SQL-TOOLS Phrase:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.

Great hack thanks, would it be possible to change it so that after ppl register the first thing they see is the rules, & they can't see forum until they agree to the rules?

Thnx in advance.

i would be awesome to do that, so after u register u cant see any thread. Wouldnt we just have to change the filename to showthread.php instead of usercp.php?

Is there a hack or mod for the user.php file in the admincp directory that will let you search or find users that have/have not agreed to the rules?

d
