If you want a screen shot just ask but i don't think it is really necessary

What this does
Picks a new user out of the database at midnight and then displays it on forum home.

To do list...

* Time to install: As long as it takes you to import an xml
* New Templates: 1
* Template Edits: 1
* New Files: 1
* New Phrases: 3
* New Plugins: 1


Help & Support

Note
Not vb3.5.x compatible but will be shortly . Use at your own risk.

Instructions
Import the attached XML and then Upload random.php to ./includes/cron. Add $randomusertable anywhere you want. I suggest under $navbar in FORUMHOME.

Does the user's avatar get displayed? Postcount? or just a username... A screenshot would answer all these questions.

Ditto... I think Roger is light years ahead of me, so what HE can picture in his head is... well... a little more vivid than what I can!



Thanks for the release rogersnm. I am waiting to finish my upgrade to 3.6 before installing anything new, but I like this a lot.

Look at the online demo.. "Demo: View Online Demo!" It's a dead give a way wwhere it says user of the day :p

do you mean the old version?

I have forgotten what was wrong with that but it seemed to choose the same user and only switch once a week no matter how many times you ran the cron. plus i added the avatar bit....
