Go to ACP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Pick a forum and at bottom it has a new yesno setting
Go to ACP -> vBulletin Options -> Recipe Mod Database -> Enter the forumid's used for your forum

Seeing as you didn't seem to do anything he came back to me.

For anyone else that is having this problem; go to your ACP, open up the "recipe_showthread" plugin and replace it's contents with:

When I install this, add recipe info on the newthread page and click submit, it loops back to a blank submit page with the following error message:

There are no subject fields... see the screenshot.

I found the issue... Put the newthread edit too early in the code... Fixed.

So is there any way to get this to stop showing?

See the screenshot. Basically a post is being shown with the exact same contents as the instrcutions box.

I added the part to showthread that is supposed to kill this section but it is not quite working right I think.

I get that to and it looks bad and confuses the members.
It should have just a reply ... and not that additional section.

I also notced it cuts off parts of the recipe in the Ingredients and Instructions.
Not sure about the other ones.

You need to change the field properties of the database. Use phpmyadmin and change it from varchar to mediumtext. It is a pretty easy operation.
