but how can i get it to appear like this:

I mean I only want one * at the left of username and only the username colored not the whole text..

here is another way to use this hack... change the "username" variables to "userid" then replace "/ me" to "/refer". Change a few other variables, and insert your forum URL before the $meUsername

this will make it so every time somebody uses "/refer" it will display thier referral URL.

Or you can just use this code:
it will look like this:
* my referral URL is http://forums.rotarytuner.com/index.php?referrerid=3 *

i can't see any issues with this, it worked with no problems on my 3.6.4, thanks again man ;)

just open the xml with word pad and remove the extra *
