I had this hack but if a member posted a link like http://mediafile.2233.htm it parsed the * Mikeyodesigns and the link didnt work....Thats a made up url by the way lol....Would be better if it was / a space then me..

You can change this yourself, simply open up the plugin and change * Arnoud to / me twice .

Might want to check the * aoeu before your username-find-mechanism to save cycles.

Also quite a funny way to check empty variables: if ('' == $x).
If variable X is empty IMO semantically more correct.
Also I suggest empty() -- doesn't give a warning when checking an uninitialized/non-existant var.

Regexp should say '/me (.+)', IIRC, the last time I used an IRC client empty '/me'-s were not allowed

Well, the code does what I want it to and using the empty(); function is just an alternative.

Please feel free to make any upgrades to the code and post it here/PM it to me, and I'll update the file and add credits if you want.

Nah, I don't use hacks, but just felt suggesting proper code practices
