Latest X Threads on Forumhome: Advanced! v1.1.1

This an advanced version of Niels' hack. All credit for the idea and template code goes to him! All I've done is make it admincp configurable, phrased (1 phrase :p) and show the forums of the threads without an additional query per thread displayed.

Having said that, here's a howto on installing:

1. Unzip the .zip.
2. Import the Product in your Admincp.
3. Go into Style Manager, Edit Templates and edit the template FORUMHOME.
4. Add "$latest_x_threads" (without quotes) somewhere in the template. I decided to add it bellow "$navbar", but its your choice ;).
5. Save the template. You're done!

Important: v1.1.1 released.
To upgrade, please download the latest .zip (1.1.1), and run it in your admincp.

Changelog:
v1.1.1: Permission check typo fixed.
v1.1.0: Permission checks added.
v1.0.0: Initial release.

It's that leftjoin I didn't know where to put :p
I've been keeping my left eye on the "sql for dummies" book, and the right
eye on "Phpmyadmin" to run testqueries.
Thanks for that, i'll try to put it together when i have the time.
I guess the only stumbling blocks left is the "static" status icons and the thread rating thingy now.
After that we'll have a super turbo charged millenium hack on our hands !

Oops !
This returns a "null" value on the iconpath:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
However this works:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Perhaps not the best solution, but it works ;)
This query spits out the "icon1.gif" if "0".

I added the posticon to the already customized hack in post #22
(Attached in this post)
Apart from getting the "static thread icon" and the thread rating icon to work, there's also the "Subscribed" icon i've noticed today.
3 little thingys that would make this hack complete...
The "pagenav" is un-neccesary.
From what little knowledge i have, these things aren't as easy as the posticons :classic:

Today I've noticed a tiny detail that doesn't work.

In the "Latest_X" settings page in the admin panel, there's supposed to be a descriptive text (in small white letters) that says:

However it doesn't show up ?
Can't figure out what's the problem :knockedou

(if anybody wonders why i'm so dedicated to this hack, it's because i'm using it to learn from as well)
