What this does
It globals the forum statistics like thread info so you can use it on any page not just the forum home. Feel free to use in your modifications but please add credits!

To do list...

Instructions
Import the attached file into the PLUGIN section. You then have serveral variables you can use throughtout your forums:
$numbermembers - The number of members your forum has.
$totalposts - The number of posts in your forum.
$totalthreads - The number of threads in your forum.
$headerguests - The Number of Guests online.
$headerusers - The number of Users online.
$totalonline - The number of guests and users online.
and then an added bonus:
$newusername - Gets the username of the newest user
$newuserid - Gets the userid of the newest user (you could use this in a template as a conditional so when you get to userid 100 then you display a table saying you have got 100 users.)

Just import the xml into the plugin section of the acp and then you can use the variables i put in my first post in the templates.

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

If I disable the plugin everything is works fine.

Looks like the XML file posted in this thread works, but the XML file posted at the top of this thread does not.

No errors, just had an initial error and i forgot to update the xml.

cool.. this might be the first hack of yours I'll use :p

does this add any queries to the pages ?

Unfortunately yes as it is impossible to magically retrieve info. 3 or 4 queries I think.

One thing you might want to do which is what I've also done is remove the forum stats from the forumhome template. Since I've moved my stats to the sidebar I didn't feel the need to also have it on the bottom of the forumhome as well.
