Plugin
This is a modified version of the old vB 3.0.x version by angelicGrace

How to install
Go to your Plugin Manager, and add a plugin with the following info:

Title: Change the Guest name
Hook location: online_start
PHP code:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
Active: Yes

Thats it

Where does this change the guests name at? I installed it and I was thinking that it would change the name in the Who's Online box, but it did not.

It changes it in the Whos Online, online.php.

If you want to change it everyone, edit the phrase 'guest' to whatever you want .

Sorry I've tried everything where exactly do I change this and how? Nothing seems to work. I'm running VB 3.5.4 if that helps any.

Alright, here's a step-by-step guide on how to change 'guest' to whatever you want, on your entire board.

Log into your admincp, and open the Languages & Phrases dropdown.
Click the Search in Phrases option.
Enter "guest" (without quotes) as text , select All Languages and select Phrase Variable Name Only. Now Search.

Look for the phrase called 'guest' (again without quotes), this should be under "GLOBAL Phrases Containing 'guest'". Click the edit button next to it, and add whichever name you want to call guests in the "Translations" box.

Press save and youre done
