If you want it to display normally then put: <a href="#" onclick="alert(' {option} ')">{param}</a>
or you could use: <font color="YOUR COLOUR HERE"><b><a onclick="alert(' {option} ')">{param}</a></b></font>

I switched the bold for underline and like it even more.

Okay, I know that I am not really a coder, but I'll bet my balls that will work (tested it with ie 6 and ff 1.5, because of your coding skills I was unsure for a second). It is a totally legitime way to call a javascript function without the explicit eventhandler. I use stuff like this all the time ...
