ok i installed it, cool, just anohter question.
When it backs up, it backs up to databack.php right? So what happens if I need to use the back up?
Everytime the back up runs, does it overwrite the the databack.php file?

Nope, it dumps to a by you defined path in an either .sql or .tar.gz file.

You can than use phpMyAdmin or the vBulletin SQL system to re-import the backup.

EDIT: You can define the file name, type and path in your admincp under the vBulletin Options, after installing the product.

No, that databack.php cron-code coding. When vBulletin calls that file every X hours, it will send a copy of your database to the folder you specified. For example, every 12 hours vBHackers.com's database is copied to a folder outside of the public. The file name is the date of the backup. 4-2-2006, 4-3-2006.sql, ect.. ;)

I should note that the file name option was cut out of the install. It wasn't working as execpted. Should be fixing that shortly.

I ran the task manuelly just now, and I'm not finding the file. I went to the correct folder where it should of ended up and nothing. i'll retry a few times and check everything Again.

Use this link: http://www.yoursite.com/forums/admincp/options.php?do=options&dogroup=backupsettings

You can find this in the vBulletin Options Settings.

I mean which exact path have you configured in the admincp? Is something like "/forum/Back_ups", or more like "/home/user/something_something/Back_ups"?

I'll leave the support to LiveWire after you reply to this message btw, as he'll be able to judge whether or not you're doing something wrong.

I clicked the phpinfo link and found the _server path variable

_SERVER["PATH"] /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin
