Anonymous Poster v.1.0 Final

This hack allows users to post a topic or reply to a thread anonymously. The adminstrators can set which forum to allow anonymous posting and configuring which member group to use this feature. Mods/admins (or usergroup with permission) are able to see true identity of the anonymous poster, and restore the thread/post to the real username.

INSTALLATION

1. Upload images + includes folders and anonymous.php file to your forum directory
2. Upload product-anonymous.xml in Product Manager

TO DO

1. Create a new user named Anonymous (or whatever you like), go to memberlist to check for userid of this Anonymous user.
2. Go to vBulletin Options -> Anonymous Poster Settings, and enter exactly the username + userid for the Anonymous user
3. Go to Usergroup -> Usergroup Manager, update Anonymous Posting permission for each usergroup

Also ... "restoring" the real poster returns the post with a blank username and the forumhome template will reveal the real posters name regardless of permissions

Hey, thanks for creating this -- it was exactly what I was looking for.

I followed your instructions exactly. I enabled anonymous posting for all registered users, but when I logged in as a registered user, I couldn't see the "post as anonymous" checkbox. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy way to fix it.

Maybe you didn't set permission for forum (Forum Manager)

@author: For groups don't have permission to view Real Poster, can I hide the image "Reveal"?

Great hack .-) I wish to install this but I need poster to be able edit without bothering moderator to reowner him ...

Is this possible?
