Anonymous Poster
Author: Thinh Nguyen (aka tnguy3n)

This hack allows users to post a topic or reply to a thread anonymously. The adminstrators can set which forum to allow anonymous posting and configuring which member group to use this feature. Mods/admins (or usergroup with permission) are able to see true identity of the anonymous poster, and restore the thread/post to the real username.

INSTALLATION

1. Upload images + includes folders and anonymous.php file to your forum directory
2. Upload product-anonymous.xml in Product Manager

TO DO

1. Create a new user named Anonymous (or whatever you like), go to memberlist to check for userid of this Anonymous user.
2. Go to vBulletin Options -> Anonymous Poster Settings, and enter exactly the username + userid for the Anonymous user
3. Go to Usergroup -> Usergroup Manager, update Anonymous Posting permission for each usergroup

Just a small thing: you forgot to add the http:// infront of the live demo adress, resulting in the demo link messing up a little. I've corrected this for you though ;).

I know exactly what i can use this for
this will stop the multi-nick registration for peeps afraid to post with there real identity (eg... to offer suggestions, or complaints)
just need to be careful which topics are allowed annonymous posting ;)

Thanks for this, I have an error though,

All users can see the link to show who the real poster is and those without permission get the following error when clicking it:

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type vB_Session as array in /home/accountname/public_html/sitename/forumname/anonymous.php on line 46
