Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

I m repeating the question in hope someone can help:

While i have the usergroup "unregistered/Guests" banned in the VB shout options and "cannot view Shoutbox" checked.....when a unregistered comes to the forum,he indeed sees an empy page under the shoutbox,yet if he
SIMPLY CLICK on the "shoutbox" link he can not only view all shoutings but has accsess to the shouting archive as well..........Is there a way to prevent that ? Maybe disabling the shoutbox link? (but i need it to edit and delete shoutings...)

when i use this version i have time problem . time will be change to the last poster's time zone in all shoutbox .

does the CHMOD'ing of the file/folder to 777 involve any security issues? I'm not really a master in security so I figured it was better to ask than to be sorry later Great little hack btw!!

Ok, I've been searching the thread but didn't find any solution so I hope someone can suggest one. How to disable html code? I wasn't even aware it was allowed until some member posted an image from external site.
Can't really have that. And I really like this shoutbox so I would like to find a solution rather then removing it.
A lot of people referred to the problem but I haven't seen any solutions, but maybe I've missed something.

Hi

It was very dificil but at last I function, I use vb 3.6.5 and I function very well, after to read the 80 you page in this post

1.- Upload folder sb ----->>>>> /Forum (give them permission 777 to the folder sb and to html)

eg. Forum/sb/

2.- Upload File vBShout 2.1.xml (Important this file DOES NOT need permission 777, because alone remains Loading. .... very common error)

3.- Install the 'product' XML file into your forum

I put these files and they function very well, I expect serve them

you should find several choices in vbulletin options in the adminCP that will disable html code

There is only this in vbshout options:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.
nothing regarding html code.
