Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

I just uninstalled it, completely deleted all files. And started from scratch with a fresh install. Exact same problem. ANybody else got any ideas?

I tried this for timestamps fix:

and it works fine except for one thing. The words today and yesterday are automatically translated into a user selected language after he shouts something.
For example if I write a shout a date will say "Today" but if a member that chose French language it will say "Aujourd'hui" to everyone.

Any ideas on how to fix this please ?

yep, the timestamp works fine and easy to edit to your own liking if you look at the code

if you look in vbulletin options in the adminCP you will see options for size and positioning of shoutbox there

Ok we got that to work now let try one more thing . I saw some where that we could make the shoutbox show if that person was still on line or not . Does anyone know where it is or how to do it ?

I know this has been gone over but can anybody tell me what causes the "loading" problem? I've checked everything listed but I still get it. I really wanna add this to my site but can't figure out the problem.

not quite sure what you mean, do you mean the shoutbox will be visible even if you are not logged into the forum ?

Is there a way to setup a scheduled task to delete all shouts after 1 hour for every day of the week? If there is what would the settings/code be?
