Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

Out of curiosity... is there a Shoutbox 2.2 coming out anytime soon?

Because, I have it installed, working and all, but it still has some obvious glitches, and messes up often whenever there are 4+ people active in it. Also, the issue of any member being able to edit/delete shouts should be dealt with in the main installation itself, not needing additional code edits.

Not for every case, but sometimes it did mess up using IE6. But I have had no problems since using IE7.

And it did mess up a lot, for us, on versions 3.6.0 Gold through 3.6.2. We could not run it, in fact, it messed up so bad.

So, you cannot always say it is a PC issue. Along with some other issues that went away.

There are time vB and the servers do not play well together.

Hopefully someone knows the solution.

Have vbshout on defaut style and all is good. Now working on adding a couple of different styles and when style is created they all have the vbshout showing which screws up the layout. How or can you remove vbshout from showing on a new style but leave it there for the default style?

Or would I have to remove it completely from the default style, then add the new styles, and then replace it back to the default style?
