Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

A question for members here who have the editor box disappear like mine does, does your forums unread sysmbol or what ever you call them disappear too?

I know that I have some forums marked not read and when I notice that the editor is missing, I have also noticed that all forums are set to having been read. Then when the editor shows back up, lo and behold you now see the unread forums. Strange.

Sorry. I never really paid attention to that function.

I THINK I have seen others citing that problem happening to them. But not sure.

I'm new to this vb thing, I'm trying to get this mod to work, but my 'shouts' aren't showing up and I'm getting this database error:

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.0:

Invalid SQL:

select s.*, u.username, u.usergroupid from shout s
left join user u on (u.userid = s.s_by)
order by s.sid desc limit;

MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 4
Error Number : 1064

I've CHMOD'd the files, uploaded everything, I'm lost.

Not sure why you would want to ;) the two methods work fine for me :p

Anywho it would be done by editing the javascript solution that i did... something like this (untested... and for one language ONLY):

From Javascript Timestamp Fix:
find this line:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
change to:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
...hopefully ;) ...

Thank jedi ;) it seems to work fine so far
I wanted that because that's how the forum time stamps are
and that's how the shoutbox 2.1 displayed time stamps in vB3.5

yeah thats what i want to know too i know there was a mod for it on 3.5.0 but im not sure if the code to exploit it is still in that code or what was changed in this one.
