Hello all,

I just read all 31 pages and never found the answer to the problem on using vbshout with 3.6........but i have an issue where the editor bar and the place where you type text, just disappear's........seem's several people have had the same issue, but nobody has posted a fix.......

Just so everyone knows who reads this, this is a fresh install, not an upgrade on my site........so i started with a clean slate and sometime's the shoutbox works and sometime's it doesn't.....very random. I have done the remember me mod, per vbulletin.com and that didn't help........right now, i moved back to vbshout2.0, and the shoutbox stay's live longer, but still disappears in time.....leaving you with a shoutbox but no way to shout.

I too would appreciate this problem more thoroughly addressed, as it's been driving me nuts!

With time the problem gets more and more frequent. Even scroll bars and such start randomly disappearing.

I KNOW it was not a misinstall.

With 3.5.4 the old, unaltered 2.0 ran fine, except for the refreshing issues.

But with 3.6.0 neither 2.0 or 2.1 work.

I have zero problems with anything else. It is exclusively the ShoutBox.

I ended up deleting it. But cannot find anything even half decent to replace it on a temp basis.

Fully Intergrated ShoutBox on phpBB was a great ShoutBox. But it no longer works with the new version. So, I cannot create a link to use it temp.

Same with SMF shoutbox. It will not work on their new version.

Is there ANY decent shoutbox out there, with smilies, bbcodes and such, that can be put on link temp until this issue gets fixed, or a different shoutbox comes out?

Mainly frustrated I am not a coder and cannot do this for myself. Sigh.

fo some reason, the shoutbox doesnt show up on my other skin....can u show me how to fix it...

Did you make sure the same template changes were made to both skins?

That's a bug in the Shoutbox that no one seems to have a fix for.. It happens to many of us here.
