Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

Hi, I have activated the extra option for formatting but cant see them. I had this same problem with V2 but just uninstalled that version for this one.

I kept the same CMPS module with same settings, would that be the problem?

Now running 3.6 & 2.2, any help greatly appreciated, cheers.

I just saw this post http://www.vbhackers.com/showpost.ph...3&postcount=11 just wana add that it does use workarounds that might put query load like ZT said.. but its for only those who still want Timestamps..
Will it show up the correct Timestamp for every User dependand on his selected Timezone? Or will the Timestamp still change with every Shout
of international Users?
For Example if a french User shouts and at his is 7:03pm and then a
US-User shouts and the Timestamp changes even for the french User
to another Time or will the Timestamp keep at every User correctly like
his Timezone was setup?

Has anyone fixed the shout yet so dat they are able to display smilies and font type and color? Or should we be giving up on a fix for that?

Do the same steps as before on vBorg, just do not delete the following from Template Alteration
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
But you will need to comment that out inside the vbshout.php file.

You do realise that connects to the db again so it's actually less eficient than the 2.0 version because it uses the db and the flatfile. If you want timestamps just use the vborg version not that.

Can this be fixed:

If you have the timestamps enabled, the time for the zone of the last user to shout is displayed for all shouts.
Until you submit YOUR shout, then all the times are upgraded for your zone. Of course when someone else shouts, the times change to THEIR zone.

I just want the times displayed for each user according to thier zone. Always.

My users are really adamant about the timestamps, is there a way I can get around this issue?

Please can someone explain how to do this: 'CHMOD the folder 'sb' (in your forums directory) to '777'' 'vbshout.html' also to '777' I'm new at all this, so please help me by posting a good example of what I should do! Thx My usergroup ID's are: 2,,6,9,11,12,13,14,15

Also, I'm getting this ' loading ' signal, too! I'm using v3.6!
