Major Additions - [AJAX/Flatfile] vBShout 2.1

Hey there,

First release here, I'm sure most might know me from over at vB.org, in anycase they broke my vBShout, so here's a fixed version, with a few extra bits:

- Flatfile System (Seriously cuts any intensity this once created before)
- Bug Fix: ' used to break edit shout
- Bug Fix: Users couldn't edit/delete their shouts
- Bug Fix: Parsing problem (that vb.org created..)
- Feature Disabled: Timestamps, this is unfortunatly due to using a flat file system.

Enjoy everyone, if you have the previous vBShout installed, I suggest uninstallation the previous vBShout product then installating this one fresh (saves you havning to revert templates).

Also, this will work for any vB 3.5 installation

The solution
open vbshout.php

find:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

replace with:

You must first be a registered member to view any code.

xD don't you just love things when they do that. There isn't really any logical explanation it could be that zt coded it to delete the timestamp if that user had a different timezone. Might be a think to try out.

Hmmm... yeah, could be. But, I don't think it is, because the time just changes when the shout from a different timezone is made. So to me that's just kind of odd.

Is there any way I could add an input field to the shout archive page?

Reason: Believe it or not, I have a few users who use webtv, and of course the built-in browser does NOT support AJAX. These users want to participate in the shoutbox, but only see the "loading" screen and no input field.

It would be good to give them the option to use the plain archive page to input their shouts and they can hit refresh to see them.

Do-able?

PS, I could have sworn an earlier version allowed adding a shout from the archive page. But it's quite possible I'm just going crazy...
