I'm pretty sure this modification does exactly what you want, if not your skin probably doesn't support it.
Deaths
he wants a hack that colors admins/mods/users/... in 'who is online'
not in showthread with the user info
i had that hack for vb2.x.x
but dunno if it works in vb3

Oh, so you want a hack which displays Moderator, Administrator, etc... in the colors they're assigned to?

He wants a legend of the colours.
he wants to display what each colour means for the users.
this way when a new user is on the board, they can look at the legend and see that "green = admin, red = mod" etc.

Serious buck, im with you here.... does no one understand what you want?!

Actually I don't think you are with him, I think you are here and he is far far away...
Ps. Not to hard to make, Just add a query to select usergroup name and open/close tags then eval a template in a while which has something like:
You must first be a registered member to view any code.
For contents

In short you can't
You could probably use some JS but it would be a bit of a waste...

btw, the instructions to make your markup like <font color="red"> is wrong.. you need to use HEX number,, so <font color="FFFFFF"> will show on all browsers ;)

the "red" more then likely wont.
